The War on Women is not new and it is not shocking….
The Massachusetts 4th Essex state representative, Jamie Belsito is shocked about the War on Women! Read on….

Belsito, representing the 4th Essex District from her home in Topsfield, said she was born in 1973, the year Roe vs. Wade became the legal precedent across the country on abortion access.
“It’s just shocking to think that something that seems as commonplace as access to health care actually was overturned,” she said. “I’m very concerned about the continued influence of the religious right and the decisions that are being made in this country.”
Its not about Belsito….
State Representative makes everything about herself. Who cares that she was born in 1973 and it coincided with a major human rights decision? She was always a republican, supporting conservative candidates until she figured out that she couldn’t advance in Massachusetts unless she became a Democrat.
Real Democrats and Pro-women’s rights voters recognized the obvious threat of Trump and his misogynistic agenda.
The country united to make sure Trump did not get a 2nd term. However, despite 2 impeachments, the criminal stole Obama’s Supreme Court Appointment (Merrick Garland), appointed a rapist (soulmate, Brett Kavanaugh) and religious extremist, Amy Barrett.

I knew she supported Tisei for Congress but accepted her explanation as a one-off when she campaigned for (not just voted for) a Republican. But I looked into it, and after what I’ve seen from her own twitter posts – trolling Sen. Markey about where he lives (I’ve personally seen him Zooming with the Newburyport Dems from the sidewalk of his home in Malden), tweeting 5 “piles of poop” emojis about the 2016 Dems presidential debate with 3 thumbs down for Hillary, calling out Trump as best showing in GOP debates, applauding GOP candidates at all levels, asking if GOP presidential candidate Kasich was Italian for using “too much hands”, endorsing Mass GOP for federal leadership – I’m sorry but this candidate is NOT a Democrat and seems to harbor disdain for Dems. What makes it worse? In a glaring lack of transparency and apparent admission that these tweets undercut her current campaign persona, she has DELETED her personal twitter account so no one else could read these tweets. Add to that a campaign staffer retweeting a campaign post and adding #BlueLivesMatter and her deputy campaign manager Greg Poirier literally trolling a member of the Nbpt Dems for asking a tough but legitimate question about Belsito’s position on her support of Tisei and the BlueLivesMatter tweet…as a former female candidate I want to support women running for office. But I can’t support a candidate who is opportunistically using the Democratic Party for her political gain when she is NOT a Dem and who allows campaign staff to behave the way they do. It starts at the top. And I want a true Democrat who shares my values and the values of my party. Belsito is far from that. I’m OUT.”
It takes a special kind of stupid to support fascist, rapist, racist, Donald Trump and diss the alternative- Pro-Choice Hillary Clinton. Im not sure if she is stupid, ignorant or simply following her friend and colleague, Anna Siedzik’s orders to pledge to the faith based, political lobby called The Hamilton Wenham Human Rights Coalition. The cult extremists in the Coalition refuse to include ‘women’ and ‘atheists’ as protected classes under human rights policy. This may not seem like a big deal…. but they are anti-women, religious zealots … this is wrong, its scary and its Undemocratic.

the War on Women and bodily autonomy
the threat of anti-women and anti-LGBTQ religious fanatics working to take away human rights (think of Gordon College and Gordon Conwell Seminary demands to pledge hate in order to work, volunteer or attend their institutions).
the long ongoing, conservative threat against birth control, LGBTQ rights (including marriage) and even interracial marriage
we need an intersectionality approach to achieve equal rights. Instead the Coalition has created an artificial Feminists VS Trans rights model. This is false, is destructive, cruel and wrong. Anna Siedzik and her cult followers called me a TERF because I did not choose to attend a Pride even in Hamilton! ( I no longer like parties!)
Women’s rights requires constant attention, recognition of the threats against our gender since we are at risk for becoming Hand Maidens as we lose rights to birth control and bodily autonomy. This is also true for Trans men with vaginas who also risk forced birth.
Belsito is “very concerned”….
American women under attack need leaders who are more than concerned. We need leaders who are OUTRAGED, OUTSPOKEN, LEADING RALLIES, ORGANIZING PROTESTS, ENCOURAGING THEIR CONSTITUENTS TO FIGHT THE WAR AGAINST WOMEN.
Massachusetts has such leaders – think of Elizabeth Warren and Tram Nguyen. Unfortunately, Essex 4th lacks such leadership. Fortunately, Jamie Belsito will soon be out of office and hopefully be replaced by a real Pro-Choice, life long women’s activist, not beholden to Anna and the Coalition. Hopefully…. realistically, I have little hope for our new district, but getting fake Democrats out of office is doable…
